The restaurant’s themed décor harks back to the 1920;s era, which whispers of secret and understated decadence; Grange is all dark slatted wood, brown leather upholstery and tasteful lighting.
餐厅的主题装潢使人想到1920年代――一个空气中弥漫着窃窃私语、内敛颓废的年代。Grange 全部采用黑色条木和棕色皮椅装饰,灯光设计很有品味。
With an excellent wine list and elegant cocktail bar, the restaurant puts emphasis on fine drinks as well as fine food. Grange takes its name from the Penfolds Grange Shiraz; the most famous of the wines from the Australian wine producer, Penfolds. The wine-list is an extensive four hundred wines long and boasts almost every vintage of Penfolds, which is currently enjoying something of a vogue in China.

Second only to the wine in importance is the meat(equally important to the wine). Steaks can be ordered according to place of origin, breed and cut. Most of the meat is from Australia, but there is also a selection from Brazil, and even China. The beef tasting menu (545RMB) offers an exciting choice, allowing guests to taste the Australian Wagyu against the Qingdao bred.

Steaks arrive a pleasing reddy-pink on the inside and can be served with a variety of sauces. The sweet and tangy Chinese flavours of the black Sichuan pepper sauce provide a particularly interesting variation on the heavier and more traditional steak au poivre.

It is a lovely touch that the restaurant offers fifteen homemade mustards to accompany the steak. Diners can choose from mustards as traditional as a Dijon to more adventurous ones such as the rich, spicy and sweet honey and champagne mustard or the peppery Grange mustard or guinness and wasabi

Besides the
steaks, the menu, which changes seasonally has a range of tempting dishes. There
are delicious starters, such as the seared king scallops served with tuna tartar
and the oysters served three ways (raw, tempura and baked), at 185RMB and 225RMB
respectively. The contrast between the warm and buttery scallops and the
tartness of the raw tuna is particularly pleasing.
除了牛排,餐厅每季更换其它菜品,鲜美诱人。头盘有美味的烤扇贝配吞拿鱼,牡蛎有三种做法:生食、日本做法、烘焙。分别为RMB185和RMB225。热热的黄油扇贝与酸酸的吞拿鱼生,其口感对比很是可爱。
For desert, we took the chef’s tasting menu (120 RMB), which offered four creations, exquisitely presented: chocolate cake, panna cotta and vanilla ice cream, strawberry meringue and white chocolate confection.

The Grange has also recently introduced a lunch menu, which, at 98RMB for two courses and a soft drink, offers superb value.
